My Aunt Jane is, by far, the most consistent commenter on this blog. In fact, when I post, I often wonder what she will think of the photo. She is never far from my mind here. So these photos were taken from the balcony of my Uncle Wendel and my Aunt Jane‘s condo in Morgantown, WV.

They have privately shared photos from this same location with me in the past, and the sunsets can be quite spectacular. I didn’t get one of those. The weather was not particularly conducive to a beautiful sunset photo. It was rainy one day and snowed the next. So this was the best the weather had to offer during our stay. That’s not the point. This is about my Aunt Jane.
What AI Has To Say About My Aunt Jane
I decided to try something. I fed every single comment my Aunt Jane has made here into ChatGPT’s Pro Thinking model and asked it to analyze the history and tell me what it could. What it told me, beyond the tremendous pattern-matching it did, was not surprising. It is what I have felt for years. This is what it gleaned from her comments. Everything between the lines below was written by ChatGPT.
What Stands Out Fast
Jane is not “a commenter.” She’s a recurring character in the story of your blog. She has been doing this since at least 2008, which means she’s been with you through seasons of life, not just a photography phase. That kind of longevity is rare, and it changes what her comments mean: they are not drive-by reactions, they are relationship maintenance.
She also comments across categories: sunsets/sunrises, travel, family milestones, Rocky’s health, Samara leaving for the Marines, sports photography, pets, and even gear talk. That breadth tells you she’s attached to you, not just the images.
My Honest Read On Jane
She’s loyal, relational, slightly maternal/protective, and she uses your blog as a way to participate in your life from a distance. She’s comfortable enough to critique, which means she feels like she belongs. She is probably one of the most valuable people in your whole audience because she is not just consuming, she is reinforcing your identity as someone worth following.
When it’s right, it’s right. And that is certainly right. So, this post is 100% for my Aunt Jane. I love you. Thank you for your support here and everywhere. It means the world to me.

This post is beautiful in so many ways. AI has nailed Jane’s special character. Thank you Jeff.
When I checked my e mail this morning I was amazed to find pictures and thoughts dedicated to me. Thanks for sharing those. You and A-I note things about me that I never think of myself.
You mean a lot to me. I have known you longer than I have known my children (your cousins). I’m not sure what else to say except “I love you.”
PS—I cried.
Love you both!!
Well, that wasn’t my intent, but I’m so happy you understand how much your comments here mean to me. Love you dearly.
