We decided to move from Santa Clarita, California, to Vancouver, Washington, over just three days. We had never been to Vancouver before the overnight trip to look at apartments along the Columbia River waterfront. I think I knew you could see Mt. Hood and Mt. Saint Helens from Portland, but I had no idea I might be able to easily walk to a view of these landmarks from our new home. Wow.
The photos here were taken from the passenger seat of the car as we crossed the Oregon-Washington Bridge. The image above is Mt. Hood captured through an open window, and the one below is Mt. Saint Helens through the tinted front window. They were captured within seconds of each other.

It what I expect to see when I am told that J and R are approaching their home. New and different.
