Carlsbad State Beach

Considering the last-minute booking, we were fortunate to get an Airbnb right on Carlsbad State Beach. We were awakened at in the middle of the night on Sunday to the news that our daughter was going to be induced. Our second grandchild was on the way. So we immediately got up, booked a flight, found a place to stay, and made it from Vancouver, WA to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton just in time to witness the birth. It was far more miraculous than these images.

The view above is quite literally 30 meters from the front door of our place. Not bad for a last-minute booking. 🙂
