The Canby Rodeo wasn’t on our event bingo card for 2026. Neither was the Clackamas County Fair. Frankly, neither was moving to Vancouver, WA, but here we are. And there we were at the Canby Rodeo, Racquel’s first. Our friends Russ and Ellesse Smith invited us. And it was a great evening.
I was so happy to have my camera with me for this event. The humans riding the horses are, quite literally, lunatics. The pounding they’re taking, I can’t think about for too long. Just thinking about it makes my back hurt. They’re a different breed of extreme athlete. But the athletes that really shine for me are the horses. Every single one of them. Wow. The photos here are some of my favorites from the night.
